My daughter and I took the new hula hoop class your studio has.  It was last night from 7:30-8:30pm with Angelique.  What a fun class!  Completely different from yoga, accept for the warm-up and cool-down stretching this class was constant motion that worked your core. The music and fluidity of movement was great!  We had a few giggles and lots of fun along with a very different work-out.  I'm ready to grab a hula hoop and give it another whirl. What is Hula Hooping???

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to strengthen your core muscles and you want to add something along with your pilates or yoga, why not give hula hooping (mixed with a little dancing) a try? Join Angelique for this unique, fun class offered at our yoga4all studio.

 

We all talk about needing strong core muscles. Strong core muscles – the muscles in your abdomen, back, pelvis, and hips - support your spine, improve your balance, aid your posture, and improve your agility.  It is these core muscles that work together to stabilize your trunk and keep your back strong. The circular motion of hula hooping gets all of your core muscles working and it even works your thighs.

 

No, really!!! The same plastic hoop that's been a staple of childhood play for decades is also an amazing exercise tool. The hula hoop can effectively trim your waist, hips, and thighs, build abdominal and lower back muscles, and give your cardiovascular system a work out. The hula hoop used in our class is a little different than the one you used as a kid. This one is designed for adults so it is bigger, a little heavier and sturdier, offering a little more workout.
